Nature lovers and families, get ready for a weekend of fun and adventure at Gamuda Land’s Wetlands Wonderfest, taking place from 5 to 6 October at the stunning Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.

Promising a perfect mix of nature, adventure, and excitement, this two-day carnival has free admission.

A haven of wildlife

Nestled in the heart of Gamuda Cove, the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands is an expansive 1,111-acre sanctuary home to an incredible variety of wildlife. From hippos and crocodiles to over 225 species of birds, this ecotourism hub has it all.

The wetlands offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while exploring diverse outdoor activities. According to Liong Ve Lyn, Senior General Manager of Gamuda Land’s Leisure and Hospitality division, the Wetlands Wonderfest is all about accessibility and creating memorable experiences for visitors.

“We aim to curate a relaxing space where visitors can unwind and rejuvenate, all while discovering the beauty and wonders of nature,” she says.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, or someone who’s just looking to have a nice, peaceful day immersed in nature, the Wetlands Wonderfest promises something for everyone.

Families with kids will especially love meeting the GL Play Squad and bouncing around on the GL Play Inflatable Land. Don’t forget to check out the pop-up bazaars by Jom Havoc Fest, and grab some treats at the Camp Café & Picnic by Dluca.

Explore to your heart’s content

One of the main attractions is the chance to get up close and personal with the wetlands’ resident animals. Visitors can take part in feeding sessions with elephants, ducks, tortoises, hippos, and even crocodiles. There’s no experience quite like watching a giant hippo munching away or a crocodile tearing into its meal!

But if you’re feeling adventurous, hop on a Donut Boat Ride across the lake, or jump on a safari truck for a scenic tour of the wetlands.

For those who want to learn more about the wetlands and its biodiversity, the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands Gallery will be open, offering an educational glimpse into the wildlife that calls this sanctuary home.

If you’re looking for a little more action, try your hand at Crazy Karting, or take a leisurely ride on a double-seater or quadracycle around the wetlands. Kids can also have fun with e-cycling on electric scooters or kids’ vehicles.
