This G-SHOCK X Crocs Collab Is a ‘Glow-Up’ No One Saw Coming

Every now and then we’re greeted with a head-scratching collab that makes you question its existence. This one might just take the (rubber) cake.
Crocs and G-SHOCK have teamed up to bring us a footwear-meets-wristwear mashup that quite literally no one asked for—but now we kinda want. Okay, maybe ‘we’ is not the right word. This writer wants it.
Meet the G-SHOCK x Crocs Echo Wave and the matching GA2100CROCS25-7 a.k.a. the ‘CasiOak.’ Yes, it glows. Yes, it clicks into your shoe. And yes, it’s all real.
A rather eccentric aesthetic

Let’s start with the footwear. The Echo Wave isn’t quite the Classic Clog that most people are familiar with, but it shares the same DNA: Foam, comfort, and a healthy disregard for conventional fashion rules.
In this collab, Crocs gives the Echo Wave a ghostly glow-in-the-dark makeover—off-white by day, glowing greenish ethereal by night. Yes, the little boy in me is squirming with excitement.
Wrapped around the heel is a marbled strap in muted green and pink—a pattern that peeks through the shoe’s ventilation holes. It’s abstract enough to feel artsy, rugged enough to feel vaguely tactical.

The whole aesthetic is… let’s say: Unbothered festival goer who just wants to be comfortable. And it works.
But here’s where things get wild. The shoe comes with an actual G-SHOCK modular watch case. Not just bundled in the box—the watch is part of the shoe.
It snaps directly into the clog’s side, held in place by a co-branded security strap. Whether that’s genius or unhinged depends entirely on your tolerance for chaos and your willingness to look down to tell the time. But hey, some people are already wearing their smart watches around their ankles.

The watch itself is the ever-popular ‘CasiOak,’ officially dubbed the GA2100CROCS25-7 in this release.
It’s got all the rugged bells and whistles you’d expect from a G-SHOCK: 200-metre water resistance, shockproof construction, double LED lighting, a stopwatch accurate to 1/100th of a second, five alarms, and world time across 48 cities. In other words, it’s the watch you’d want to have in a dooms day scenario.

But don’t worry, it’s not bound to the clogs forever. You can pop it off and slide it back onto a standard wrist strap so you can wear it traditionally when you’re feeling insecure and don’t want to field questions about your fashion choices.
Regardless of the situation, however, it’s built to take a beating whether it’s on your wrist or around your ankle.
The collab no one asked for, but there’s no denying it’s campy as hell

Let’s be honest—this collab is weird, even for someone with tolerances as high as this writer. Crocs, the undisputed king of airport footwear, teaming up with G-SHOCK, the watch brand that thinks “bulletproof” is the bare minimum?
It shouldn’t work. But somehow, it does. It’s campy. It’s practical. It’s weirdly high-tech. It’s fashion in the year 2025, whether you accept it or not.
Slated for release on 27 May, you’ll be able to snag this unique collab on official Crocs and G-SHOCK channels.
No official pricing has been announced for Malaysia yet (it’s not even on the G-SHOCK Malaysia site at the time of writing), but estimates say it’ll be around RM850.
