Football Legend Ronaldhino Released From Prison, USD1.6mil Bail Posted
Whether you’re a football fan or not at all, the name Ronaldhino might be familiar to many as he was (and still might be) one of the most gifted players in the game’s history. For a good while, he has semi-retired from the pitch which is why it’s been years since we’ve heard any news from him. Recently, the legendary footballer made headlines after being detained in Paraguay.
Ronaldhino and his brother Roberto got into trouble with Paraguayan authorities for attempting to enter the country with false passports and ID cards which led to their arrests on the 6th of March. This was especially mind-boggling since it’s a well-known fact that he’s Brazilian – even captaining the national football team on several occasions.
Prison didn’t stop Ronaldhino from keeping his spirits up (literally). The Vocket reports that he participated in several football matches while locked up. Photographs of him signing autographs and sharing alcohol with other inmates also surfaced online:

It’s still unclear why he tried to enter Paraguay with false identification, but he fortunately made bail after spending 32 days locked up. The bail bond cost a whopping $1.6 million (RM6.94 million) and despite being free from jail, Ronaldhino was ordered to be on house arrest and required to wear an ankle bracelet that monitors his movements.
Luckily for Ronaldhino, he was sentenced to serve the house arrest order in the luxurious Palmaroga hotel located in Paraguay’s capital city of Asuncion.
Definitely not a bad place to be under house arrest in my humble opinion. All the better for him with Covid-19 spreading everywhere.
