Global Citizen and World Health Organisation (WHO) have teamed up to bring a virtual concert to the comfort of your homes, featuring Alanis Morissette, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Lizzo, Paul McCartney and many more.

One World: Together At Home is a global special that will celebrate and support frontline healthcare workers while uniting the world in support of WHO’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response. The broadcast will also highlight stories from the world’s health care heroes, as well as messages of gratitude and appreciation from those they’ve helped.

The online concert will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, and curated in collaboration with the one and only Lady Gaga. While talking to Fallon, she outlined her vision for the event and made calls to corporations and philanthropists around the world. As of now, she’s already helped pull in 35 million USD in support of Covid-19 response efforts globally, through corporate and philanthropic donations.

“I want to highlight this global, kind community that’s coming together right now. It’s this valiant effort that we’re all witnessing in the medical community… take a second to marvel at the bravery,” she said.

“I hope that we, as a shared humanity, emerge from this moment forever grateful for the work of doctors, nurses, teachers, grocery store workers, and all of those who are the backbone of our communities,” said Hugh Evans, co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen.

“As we honour and support the heroic efforts of community health workers, One World: Together At Home aims to serve as a source of unity and encouragement in the global fight to end COVID-19,” added Evans, in a statement.

“Through music, entertainment, and impact, the global live-cast will celebrate those who risk their own health to safeguard everyone else’s”
