JUICE Diabolically Big Guide to FMFA ’13
THE COMPLETE HANDBOOK TO SURVIVING FMFA ‘13
T IS FOR TRANSPORTATION
“I DON’T CARE HOW YOU GET HERE / JUST GET HERE IF YOU CAN”
We took some advice from Oleta James about the importance of getting yo’ ass here at Future Music Festival Asia 2013.
KLIA TRANSIT, RM12.50
Most assume that the KLIA Express is the only option when it comes to taking the train. At RM70 return, it can be a pricey option. Save money and take the KLIA Transit to the last stop at Salak Tinggi station that’s only10 minutes away from the FMFA13 venue. Unfortunately, your partying and train schedule will have to get along and be friends, though.
Pros 30 minutes fast traveling time, cheap, convenient
Cons Train service ends 1.09am
VAN, RM500 – RM700
JUICE tested out this option last FMFA12 and this is passed with flying colours as the safest and most fun. Depending on which van you rent (comes with a driver), you can fit up to 8 – 12 friends. Van party!
Pros Fun, everyone is safe
Cons Total rent charges from RM500 – RM700 on average
BUS, RM10 from KL Sentral – LCCT and RM9 LCCT – KL Sentral
At RM9 to RM 10, this is the most cost effective option out of the lot and a whole lot more flexible than taking the KLIA Transit.
Pros Cheapest, last bus from LCCT is 2.45am
Cons 1 hour travelling time,
CAB, RM60 from KL to SIC / RM50 from PJ to SIC
Cabbing to events held in Sepang used to be the worst possible option – finding an available cab at the end of the night proved to be a pain in the culo for one. However, this time around FMFA is working with Taxi Monger as their official transport. They will be providing taxi services to go to the festival at a flat rate from anywhere in the Klang Valley. Festival-goers can make bookings by first downloading the Taxi Monger app on Android and iPhone. There will also be free shuttle service (fits 4) from the car park areas to festival grounds .
Pros You don’t need to drive. Also, now that there’s an official FMFA official transportation, efficiency is guaranteed!
Cons Could be pricey.
CAR, depending on car/toll/petrol charges
This is no doubt the most flexible option in the list yet it could be dangerous if you end up inebriated at the end of the festival. If driving is what you choose, do look into getting accommodation nearby to lessen the driving distance.
Pros The luxury of arriving and leaving whenever you want
Cons Possible roadblocks and traffic congestion, safety hazard if designated driver is drunk , need to pay toll, need to fill tank…
