Fly FM And Dolla Pay Tribute To The History Of Local Raya Songs
In anticipation of Hari Raya, Fly FM, the nation’s beloved radio station, is taking listeners on a journey down memory lane with a special medley titled “The History of Malaysian Raya Songs.”
This innovative video stars Fly FM’s very own Ryan Matjeraie alongside the iconic Malaysian girl group Dolla, promising a delightful blend of nostalgia and contemporary flair that encapsulates the essence of the Raya spirit.
This isn’t the first time Fly FM has embarked on such a creative endeavour.
Following the success of “The History of Malaysian Hip Hop” series featuring Sonaone and Ryan Matjeraie, which garnered over 1.5 million views, the station is back with another instalment, this time focusing on the rich tapestry of Raya songs that have defined Malaysian celebrations for decades.

Sean Matjeraie, Content Director of Fly FM, expressed his excitement about collaborating with Dolla and the vision behind the project, saying, “For Hari Raya this year, we wanted to infuse our medley with a blend of nostalgia and contemporary vibes, all wrapped up with a touch of humour.”
Adding to the charm of the video are cameo appearances by Fly FM’s Breakfast show hosts, the Fly FM Jokers, Arieff Yong, and Ryan Howlett, as well as singer Ellina Razak, known for co-writing the classic “Suasana Hari Raya.”
The cherry on top? A surprise appearance by none other than Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
Through this medley, Fly FM continues its mission of entertaining and connecting with Malaysians of all backgrounds through the universal language of music.
As the festive season approaches, Fly FM extends warm wishes of Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all listeners, urging everyone to embrace the joy, music, and togetherness that define this special time of year! ❤️
