Graffiti artist and painter Escape Va (real name Eki) moved from a job as an event coordinator-cum- graphic designer to a commissioned muralist full-time ever since 2006. Though it doesn’t take that much to inspire him, the guy is doing quite well for himself as he’s painted bars, cafes, and restaurants in Klang Valley and several hired work for advertising agencies and private organisations. Even though you may be able to see some of his work on slabs of walls around town, he has also held a solo exhibition last year at Kedai, in which he had a fluorescent paint launched during the opening.
