Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Upcoming ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ TV Series
Just a few hours ago, it has been confirmed that Percy Jackson and the Olympians has finished filming the first season!
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (also known as PJO) is a highly anticipated TV series based on the novel series of the titular name by Rick Riordan. The series is about a 12-year-old half-blood (half human, half god) named Percy Jackson, who has been accused by the Greek god Zeus of stealing his thunderbolt.
The series involves Greek mythology, so this will definitely be right up your alley if it’s something you’re interested in.
Now, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming PJO series if you didn’t grow up in the early 2000’s without these books glued to your hands.
Percy Jackson will be played by Walker Scobell, with Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
The actors for the other PJO characters:
- Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson
- Glynn Turman as Chiron/Mr. Brunner
- Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus/Mr. D
- Adam Copeland as Ares
- Lin-Manual Miranda as Hermes
- Jay Duplass as Hades
- Lance Reddick as Zeus
- Toby Stephens as Poseidon
Unfortunately, Logan Lerman was not cast as Poseidon despite popular demand.
The series will be released on Disney+ in early 2024, with the first season consisting of eight episodes!
Aside from the television series, Rick Riordan has also announced that a new Percy Jackson book will be released in September this year.
