MELANCHOLY POWER POP
Eternal Summers had never impressed much with their previous release, their lo-fi post punk sound seems to be holding them back somewhat. Perhaps having had epiphany at some point of their career, they corrected their behaviour with the latest LP.

Lead single ‘Millions’ reminds us of something off Sub Pop indie rock catalogue while ‘I Love You’ is pure woozy surf pop, complete with the obligatory “ooh-wahs.” Rather bizarrely, somewhere in the album drummer Daniel Cundiff decided he should attempt spoken word. Weirder still, it works.
