Here’s something unexpected, MUSCLE//MACHINE, as it turns out, aren’t just a DJ/producer duo. Their debut original track ‘Double Black Whiskey’ is gritty hip hop with both VMPRMYTH and Justin Powers making up for pretty legit rappers spewing venom over a pretty badass beat. Channeling post-Mobb Deep NY swag — think Flatbush Zombies with more guttural flow — ‘Double Black Whiskey’ has them doing their best approximation of hardcore rap, complete with (ironic) macho posturing in their lyrics. We dig it.
