Just in time for St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival this Sunday, Cults has just released a video to ‘You Know What I Mean’ off their self-titled debut. The narrative-focused music video is a paean to forbidden carnival love where lovelorn Madeline Follin ogles at devil-may-care Brian Oblivion as her ringleader dad sabotages his stunts. With distinctively ’60s visuals coupled with era-appropriate sound, ‘You Know I Mean’ is a worthy addition to the pop culture canon of retro necromancy.
