Get ready for a night of side-splitting comedy, Malaysia!

The legendary Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy is making his much-anticipated return to Kuala Lumpur, bringing his ‘Just Being Koy’ tour to the Mega Star Arena on 18 June 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Presented by LOL ASIA and BOHM PRESENTS, this show promises to be an unforgettable celebration of comedy, culture, and storytelling.

A Global Comedy Icon Returns

From humble beginnings in a Las Vegas coffee house to selling out massive arenas worldwide, Jo Koy has cemented himself as one of the biggest names in stand-up. Drawing inspiration from his colourful Filipino heritage and everyday life experiences, his comedy resonates across cultures, making audiences laugh with his witty takes on family, identity, and the quirks of Asian culture.

Jo Koy is no stranger to breaking records. In 2022, he sold out the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle (14,000 tickets) and closed his tour with a record-breaking performance at Tacoma Dome (19,000 tickets). He is also the only comedian to sell out six shows at The Forum in Los Angeles and two shows at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. His historic 2017 run at The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu—11 sold-out shows, 23,000 tickets sold—even earned him his own Jo Koy Day on 24 November, proclaimed by the city’s mayor.

More Than Just Stand-Up

Beyond the comedy stage, Jo Koy has made waves in Hollywood. He starred in the 2022 Universal Pictures film Easter Sunday, inspired by his own life, and appeared in Disney’s Haunted Mansion (2023). His voice talents shine in Netflix’s Monkey King and Leo, and he continues to voice Monkey King in Paramount+’s The Tiger’s Apprentice in 2024.

His partnership with Netflix has also been a massive success, with four hit specials under his belt, including Live From Seattle, Comin’ In Hot, and Live From The Los Angeles Forum. In 2023, he signed a two-special deal with the streaming giant, starting with Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn, where his unfiltered takes on mumble rap, emoji flirting, and energy vampires kept fans entertained.

Adding to his list of accomplishments, Jo Koy is also a best-selling author. His memoir, Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo (2021), received widespread praise for its mix of humour and heartfelt storytelling, detailing his journey to comedic stardom.
