Colombian Police Entertain Residents in Quarantine with Zumba Classes
News about the coronavirus can make us feel bleak about the state of the world. The Malaysian government has already announced the extension of the Movement Control Order from 15 April until 28 April 2020.
Being in quarantine can feel claustrophobic especially if you live in small apartments. There’s only so much you can do to entertain yourself. It sucks, but it has to be done it order to end this pandemic.
However, Colombian policemen are giving Zumba fitness classes in the Bogota neighbourhood to encourage and entertain residents who are stuck at home over coronavirus fears, as reported by AFP.
“Life is a carnival and that’s what it’s all about, people trying to get through this quarantine in a positive, joyful way, always sharing with their loved ones and having the best attitude possible,” said Jhonny Pico, Police Zuma Instructor.
In Colombia, there are 2,223 COVID-19 cases confirmed, with 69 deaths reported. Globally, the virus has spread in 210 countries with over 1 million cases and more 90,000 deaths.
