When the first strains of the opener, ‘Same Mistake’, come breezing through, we soul searched like true music lovers do, and asked: “Is this the new The Killers track?” Of course not; it’s just Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s third album. The real hysteria has died down after its debut, and this album is really a more restrained, focused band trying to shake themselves free of hype and just do straight-ahead indie rock music. Pity, since it means they have a lost a bit of colour and edge doing so.
