Captain Marvel Punching a Grandma is All We Need in the Teaser Trailer
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most powerful hero got a poster AND teaser trailer dropped yesterday and it’s pretty fantastic! The trailer gives us a great first look at Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in all her cosmic and earthly life.
We know most of people aren’t familiar with the character, so it’s great that we get an origin movie and perhaps, a little bit more story about familiar characters that we’ve seen in the MCU for the past 10 years.
As we all know, the movie is set in the 90s, before SHIELD discovered Capsicle in the Arctic, before the Chiutari invasion of New York in 2012’s Avengers and before the snap that turned *almost* everyone to dust. So, it’ll be interesting to see these characters in the early days and can we just say we’re glad Agent Coulson’s back!
The movie will follow Carol Danvers who plummeted into Earth and feeling “alien” in a world where she kinda has memories of, and Nick Fury is here to help assist Carol to uncover a space invasion that is coming. From who? From the Skrulls, an alien race that’s built to invade and destroy and oh, they can shape shift too. Do you really think punching a grandma is part of a superhero description?
There’s so much to dissect in the teaser trailer. Sure, we don’t get to see Carol in all her cosmic glory, but the trailer gives us enough to know the overall movie that we’re going to see eventually and we’re pretty sure another one or two trailer is going to be released. Are we excited? Heck yeah we are.
Don’t forget that the untitled Avengers 4 is coming out a month after Captain Marvel‘s release, so we’re going to get a lot, if not all the answers that’s been aching our hearts since the release of Infinity War (We miss you, Spidey)
Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Jude Law as Walter Lawson/Mar-Vell, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Resprising their roles respectively, Samuel L. Jackson is back as Nick Fury, Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan, Djimon Hounsou as Korath and many, many more characters that we can’t wait to see.
So, how bout we watch that trailer again?
