Bridgerton Season 3, Part 2: Secrets Get Questioned, Friendships Get Tested

Netflix has just released the trailer for Part 2 of Bridgerton Season 3.

Secrets too big to hide

If you’ve kept up to date with the happenings of the Ton, you’ll know that Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) has finally gotten what she wanted — her longtime friend and confidante, Colin Bridgerton. The trailer for Season 3, Part 2 reveals that they’ve gone public with it too.

However, we can also see some difficulty when it comes to Penelope’s efforts in hiding the identity of Lady Whistledown. The news of her and Colin’s newfound love have been making its rounds through the Ton, and this puts a giant spotlight on her. With mounting pressure from Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), Penelope finds herself in the hot seat, struggling to figure out what to do.

“Colin cannot discover my secret. Whistledown is power,” Penelope tells Eloise in the trailer.

“If it’s too difficult for you to reveal the truth, I will reveal it to him myself,” Eloise retorts.

Yikes.

We can probably expect to see their friendship take an intense, heart-wrenching turn.

If you need a refresher, the events that transpired in the first half of Season 3 (which premiered on 16 May 2024) led us to the exciting transformation of Penelope and Colin’s friendship. The latter offers to coach Penelope in finding a husband, but it seems his lessons are working a little too well. Colin soon realises he has feelings for Penelope after sharing a kiss (much to her excitement).

Meanwhile, Penelope’s friendship with Eloise is still in limbo after the latter befriends someone in a very unlikely place.
