Batman Shogun Rides Out To Feudal Japan In This Stunning Statue From Royal Selangor
I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman Shogun.
Royal Selangor teamed up with XM Studios once again to bring you the Batman, royally immortalised in the form of a stunning pewter statue, in collaboration with Warner Bro’s Consumer Products.
This dramatic design features Batman Shogun riding his warhorse over the destroyed effigy of his arch-enemy, the Joker, which is an “explicit metaphor for the triumph of good over evil.”
Both Batman and his horse are decked out in samurai armour inspired by Japan’s Edo period meshed with the bat’s aesthetics.
It was unveiled on 22 August at DC Fandome, a 24-hour virtual global fan event, the first of its kind where fans and creators celebrate all things DC Comics.
The statue is reproduced in brushed pewter, while the Joker’s debris in porcelain. It’s limited to 500 pieces worldwide while the 24K gilded version is limited to 200 pieces worldwide.
If you have the moolah to decorate your space with this beautiful Batman Shogun, you can pre-order both versions through Royal Selangor retail stores, selected authorised dealers or online from 23 August.
