And the World’s Best Blended Whiskey Goes to… Johnnie Walker!
As the saying goes, all you need in life is a good glass of whiskey (or something along those lines). Recently, at the World Whiskies Awards 2018, Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve was announced as the World’s Best Blended Whiskey.
The highly respected and important competition is where the world’s whiskies get to be crowned the best among the best. The whiskies presented are blind tasted and judged by a panel of industry experts, whiskey writers and master distillers from the globe.
This competition is important and is a part of the wider World Drinks Awards, which is a global spirit competition that results in selecting, rewarding and promoting the very best whiskies to consumers across the globe.
It’s no surprise that Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is the winner, as they’ve been making damn good whiskey for decades. What makes the Gold Label Reserve rich and vibrant is its production; made using iconic single malts like Clynelish, Cardhu, Blair Athol and Cameron Bridge – these are the private reserve stocks of master blenders.
This results in the exceptionally rich blend of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve, which was created to celebrate 100 years of Johnnie Walker.
Aside from that, Johnnie Walker Double Black was announced as the gold winner while Johnnie Walker Black Label and Johnnie Walker Red Label walked home as the silver winner.
As we’re approaching World Whiskey Day 2018, we think we have an idea on what to drink. Go to www.johnniewalker.com to get your hands on a Gold Label Reserve.
