WE HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL PLANNED FOR THIS EVENING FOR SURE. VISUALLY AND MUSICALLY IT IS GOING TO BE SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING THAT WE HAVEN’T DONE BEFORE” – Yolanda Be Cool

The H-Artistry ‘The Global Art of Mixing’ events are the antithesis of movie sequels. For one, they never suck, and two, they get progressively bigger and bigger as opposed to being regulated to direct-to-video status featuring lesser stars. With a line-up consisting of a cocktail concoction of genres and a mix and match of the East and the West, the name ‘Global Art of Mixing’ makes sense in more than just the obvious way; American singer-songwriter Chris Willis shows off his vocal chops as Oz’s dance duo Yolanda Be Cool spins opposite KL’s very own DJ duo Goldfish & Blink while Taiwanese songstress Landy Wen sees a beauty competition in the Korean pretty boy Park Jung Min (of boyband SS501 fame).

The climax to the previous six lesser events, this year’s H-Artistry promises to deliver the kind of party revelry that would arouse three of your senses – hearing, sight and taste. Expect MIECC to be transformed into a futuristic megaclub featuring plasma screens with trippy visuals and lots of interactivity in the form of a H-Artistry staple, the Hennessy Mixing Zone. The Mixing Bar allows you to mix your own cocktails, the Music Mix Synth literally teaches you what the art of mixing is all about, the iMix Challenge is a chance to try out Hennessy’s new iPad game and finally the Interactive Photowall is a green screen set for your usage. Malaysia’s edition of H-Artistry ‘The Global Art of Mixing’ has proven it ain’t no slouch at being a phenomenon in on its own year after year, we bet this year won’t be any different.
