Sports fans in Malaysia can finally get real-time stats, scores, and more on their iPhones thanks to the arrival of the Apple Sports app, finally available in the country as part of an expansion covering more than 90 new markets.

Now available in over 170 countries, Apple Sports comes to Malaysia with new features tailored specifically for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.

The go-to second-screen experience for anyone who wants real-time updates

With the World Cup happening soon, Apple Sports has introduced a couple of new features that make tracking the tournaments a lot easier and more intuitive.

The first of which is a tournament bracket view which gives users a clean glance of matchups and results for each round, allowing you to track a team’s progression from the group stage all the way to their final match.

And with enhanced game cards, you’ll be able to look at visual formations for each team’s lineup ahead of every match, making sure you always stay on top of your favourite team’s tactics and plays.

But most conveniently, the Live Activities feature on your iPhone can also be used to deliver real-time updates on your lock screen or your Apple Watch. While you’re using your iPhone, you can also take advantage of the Apple Sports widget, which you can customise to show specific match results.

If football isn’t your cup of tea, you’ll be glad to know that Apple Sports also covers other sports, including Formula 1, NASCAR, NBA/WNBA, NHL, MLB, PGA/LPGA Tour, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and more.
