Malaysia’s pop scene is seeing one of its more interesting crossovers this year as local band TY:DEL teams up with rising solo artist AIMEE and British fashion label Fred Perry for a collaborative release of ‘Blush (feat. AIMEE)’.

The track revisits TY:DEL’s dreamy pop single ‘Blush’, giving it a new dimension through AIMEE’s vocals. More significantly, the collaboration marks a turning point for the singer, who is stepping into her first solo project after gaining recognition as Amy from COËX. The feature serves as a formal introduction to her evolving artistic identity.

For TY:DEL, the release arrives at a time when the band continues to gain traction in Malaysia’s modern pop landscape. The group currently holds more than 12 million streams and over 51,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Their performances have also reached major stages including Good Vibes Festival, Urbanscapes, and shows at RexKL.

Beyond the music itself, the project extends into fashion. The official music video, which premiered on 13 February, features an exclusive collaboration with Fred Perry, a brand long associated with music subcultures around the world.

From its roots in British mod culture to its continued presence in alternative scenes, the label’s involvement brings a fashion-forward edge to the release.

The visual project blends contemporary pop aesthetics with carefully styled looks, positioning the video as more than just a standard music release. Instead, it becomes a cultural crossover where Malaysian pop, fashion, and youth identity intersect.

For AIMEE, the collaboration also signals the start of a new artistic chapter. She describes the project as the perfect starting point for her solo journey, offering space to explore a different side of her artistry.

TY:DEL shares a similar perspective, describing the collaboration as an opportunity to push creative boundaries rather than simply release another remix. By bringing together a rising solo act, a band with a growing regional presence, and an internationally recognised fashion brand, the project highlights the evolving relationship between Malaysia’s music scene and global style culture.

‘Blush (feat. AIMEE)’ is now available on major streaming platforms including Spotify.
