Penang Police Seek Local Man To Assist In Body-In-Suitcase Murder

Police are searching for 41-year-old Ong Wei Hao to assist in the investigation of a grisly murder case in Butterworth, Penang, where a man’s body was found stuffed inside a suitcase on 9 October.

Seberang Perai Utara police chief Anuar Abd Rahman said Ong’s last known address was at Unit A-7-07, Villa Tanjung Condominium, Jalan Villa Tanjung, Butterworth.

He urged anyone with information on Ong’s whereabouts or details related to the case to contact the nearest police station or reach investigating officer Norhaslina Rahmat at 04-5762222.

The victim, 31-year-old insurance agent Lee Boon Han, was discovered near a block of flats on Jalan Permatang Pauh with his hands tied, head wrapped in plastic, and slash wounds to the neck.

Lee had been reported missing on 8 October, a day before the discovery, after he was believed to have travelled to Perlis on a work trip.

So far, police have arrested two men and two women, aged between 24 and 32, to assist with the investigation.
