Kuala Lumpur Death Fest 2025 is gearing up to be a milestone for Malaysia’s underground metal scene.
Beyond another stacked lineup, the 11 October edition will be the last to take place at Petai Belalang KL, as the Kampung Attap space shuts its doors at the end of December. For regulars, this makes the fest a send-off to one of the city’s most important homes for extreme music.
The night is being assembled by PUREHATE and Metalgear Music, both names that have consistently pushed the local scene forward.

-
Symbiotic In Theory (Technical Death Metal)
-
Inhumane Sufferance (Extreme Death Metal)
-
Lumat (Slamming Brutal Death Metal)
-

Psst—a yet-to-be-announced guest act will also open the night.
Tickets are priced at RM60 for presale and RM70 at the door, with a hotline available for reservations.
Fans who secure the presale package can also get their hands on official Metalgear merch, known for sharp designs and solid quality.
Death Fest has always been more than a gig. It’s grown into a gathering point for the community, and this year it doubles as a farewell to the beloved Petai Belalang KL.
For those who have moshed, sweated, and bled in that space, 11 October will be the night to close the circle.
