Fly FM is back with The History of Malaysian Hip Hop: Part II, continuing its celebration of local music and culture.

Building on the success of the first part, this sequel offers another deep dive into Malaysia’s dynamic hip hop scene.

Once again, the series is hosted by SonaOne, award-winning rapper and producer, recognised as one of Malaysia’s leading hip hop voices, together with Ryan Matjeraie, Fly FM announcer and long-time supporter of Malaysian music. Part II introduces more legendary artists, memorable tracks, and rising talents shaping the genre today.

Featured in the video are Pop Shuvit, Zamaera, K Town Clan, Jin Hackman, 4U2C, and V.E.

Balancing nostalgia with current trends, the showcase also highlights new music from Joe Flizzow, Airliftz, and others, providing a complete view of Malaysian hip hop from its roots to the present.

Adding a special twist, Part II includes a guest appearance by Khairy Jamaluddin, creating a unique crossover moment in the celebration.

This Malaysia Day, Fly FM invites everyone to revisit the country’s rich hip hop history, honour its pioneers, and support the new generation carrying the culture forward.
