Alternative pop rock outfit empty page. are back to soundtrack your quarter-life crisis with their latest single ‘Menyesal’, written by frontman Zic and produced by guitarist Zac with drummer Alip in tow.

The band themselves sum up their sound as “sad songs, but not that sad”, and this one sits right in that sweet spot.

‘Menyesal’ is a reflection on the unfair burden of carrying trauma caused by someone else’s choices, whether from a partner, a friend, or family.

It dives into the dissatisfaction of being left to pick up the emotional weight of mistakes you didn’t make.

Zic’s lyrics capture the sting of that experience, while the melancholic yet catchy rock arrangement gives it the nostalgic pull that has become a calling card for the band.

“It’s that feeling of dissatisfaction when you’re burdened by someone else’s choices. They did the damage, but why are we the ones left regretting? It’s not fair,” Zic explains. The track takes that sentiment and turns it into something at once cathartic and shout-along worthy, the kind of song that can make a traffic jam feel like group therapy.

Musically, ‘Menyesal’ finds its balance between vulnerability and accessibility. It is raw in subject matter but buoyed by hooks and melodies that invite listeners to sing along, even as they process its heaviness.

That contrast is part of what makes empty page tick: heartbreak dressed in riffs you can’t shake off.

The trio will also be bringing ‘Menyesal’ to the stage at a string of upcoming festivals including Latihan Pesta Pora at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil, Hausboom Music Festival at MAEPS Serdang, and Aku Muzik Kamu Indie Festival at Litar Sepang. With its mix of bite and relatability, the track is set to resonate even louder live.

Addressing listeners directly, the band adds: “This song is for everyone still living with trauma, or weighed down by anger and resentment. If you’ve ever struggled to put those feelings into words, we hope ‘Menyesal’ can help carry some of that weight.”
