“We didn’t see any curated thrift stores here that aligned with what we wanted. The kind where if you know, you know. And if you don’t, you’ll probably still find something that speaks to you,” said Zac.

This ethos has shaped every element of the shop, from its chaotic-but-chic layout to the unmistakably edgy energy of its pieces. Think warehouse rave meets archive runway—messy, but still chic and clean.

What sets 2HOTT2HANDLE apart isn’t just the items on the rack (although we’ll get to those in a minute); it’s the philosophy behind the fashion

“Every clothing item has its own owner and fate. We just help them find each other,” said Tim.

Each piece is carefully selected based on its quality, construction, and most importantly, the emotional response it evokes. The team sources items both locally in and around KL and occasionally from overseas, ensuring each item gets a second life without sacrificing style.

As for their curation process? It’s intuitive and intentional. “When we see a piece, we immediately ask, ‘Who do we see wearing this?’ That emotional response is key,” said Tim.

“We’re obsessed with these pieces for a reason, but the truth is, a lot of our favourites never even make it to the floor; they end up in our closets first,” they admit with a laugh.
