The Goblokes Revive Rockabilly With New Single ’21 Days’
Kuala Lumpur-based rockabilly trio, The Goblokes, are back with their second single, ’21 Days’, released on 21 January 2025.
Following the success of their debut single ‘Cara Kami’, this new track further showcases their ability to reinvent classic genres with a Malaysian twist.
’21 Days’ is a laid-back, foot-tapping country song that delves into themes of regret, longing, and love. The story revolves around a womaniser who meets a remarkable woman, only for her to leave the country for 21 days just as their connection deepens.
Left counting the days until her return, he’s forced to confront his feelings in a way he never has before.

Drawing inspiration from Johnny Cash’s early work with the Tennessee Two, ’21 Days’ blends traditional hillbilly country elements with The Goblokes’ signature upbeat rockabilly sound.
Unlike the band’s first single, ’21 Days’ adopts a more minimalistic and straightforward approach. Its catchy and easy-to-sing-along chorus ensures that listeners will have it stuck in their heads after just one play.
Fans of rockabilly and country alike will find themselves drawn to this fresh yet nostalgic track, now available on all major streaming platforms.

A Rockabilly Band With A Unique Mission
Formed on 11 November 2023, The Goblokes consist of Khid on vocals and guitar, Boi on upright bass, and Chemenk on stand-up drums. Rooted in the 1950s rockabilly tradition, their music also incorporates elements of classic jazz, traditional country, and old-school blues. The trio’s mission is to revive and popularise rockabilly culture—complete with pompadours, leather jackets, and vintage-inspired energy—among Malaysian youth.
“We’re inspired by the way rockabilly has been embraced across Asia, particularly in Thailand and Indonesia,” said the band. “We want to see that same passion grow here in Malaysia.”
