Viral Video Of Women Performing In Sexy Clothes In Kelantan Might Get Organiser Fined
A video featuring women dressed in revealing attire during a concert in Bachong, Kelantan, is gaining traction on various social media platforms.
In the one-minute clip, a Thai artiste, Thungpang Chanoknan, can be seen taking the stage to sing in a black skirt and white boots, while her dancers perform in a matching black and white outfit with shorts.
The show drew a large and lively crowd, with some fans taking photos and videos of the performance, while others danced to the music.
The footage has been reposted multiple times on platforms such as X and TikTok, eliciting predominantly negative comments on both platforms
Several netizens expressed criticism towards PAS for permitting what they deemed a vulgar performance in the state, especially given the political party’s earlier vocal condemnation of Coldplay’s concert at Axiata Arena.
The perceived inconsistency in the party’s stance generated backlash and fueled discontent among social media users.
“Amazing PAS and Pemuda PAS Malaysia, Coldplay can’t even beat this artiste (you brought),” wrote one X user, tagging both political parties’ accounts.
“Please investigate this concert and take necessary actions,” said another user, tagging BERSATU youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal.
“If the PMX (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) allowed this concert, then it would be the most talked-about issue in parliament and social media,” wrote another.
Amidst the controversy, a user created a thread to clarify the nature of the concert
“I didn’t think this day would come, but as a Chinese Kelantenese Buddhist, let me explain. This concert was held at a Wat (house of worship of the Siamese Buddhists), and only held within its compound.
“The Thodphapa ceremony is held every year, and concerts like this have been around for a long time, even since I was a child; it’s a common occurrence,” they wrote.
Kelantan local government, housing, health and environment committee chairman Hilmi Abdullah stated earlier today, 28 November, that the Bachok municipal council is currently handling the case
He added that the state government, through the Bachok local municipal council, has granted the organiser the permit for the religious event, reported the New Straits Times.
“It was a closed-door event, but it is understood that the organiser has breached the conditions in the permit.
“We will carry out a thorough investigation of the case. If it is true that the organiser has violated the rules, he will be fined,” said Hilmi.
Hilmi went on to say that the organiser wouldn’t face issues if there were no Muslim concertgoers at the event.
