In Conjunction With World Savings Day, PTPTN Launches BMS 2021 This Month

As a way to encourage parents to start saving up for their children’s future education, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is kickstarting Bulan Menabung Simpan SSPN 2021 (BMS 2021) this month.

Since 2018, PTPTN has been running the event every year in conjunction with World Savings Day. This is one of PTPTN’s initiatives to attract parents to save in a Simpan SSPN account.

Every October, PTPTN organises different programmes and activities to educate parents about the importance of saving for their children’s future education and also allow for family bonding.

Additionally, BMS 2021 highlights the various benefits of saving for your children’s education through Simpan SSPN.

By having a savings plan under Simpan SSPN, you’ll not only enjoy income tax relief of up to RM8,000 a year, but also get competitive dividends, which helps you grow your children’s education fund faster.

Here’s what you’ll get to enjoy with a Simpan SSPN account:

1. The savings scheme is guaranteed by the government and is syariah-compliant.

2. Enjoy competitive dividend rates when you save with Simpan SSPN.

3. Simpan SSPN is the only savings plan that is given income tax relief of up to RM8,000 a year.

4. Under Simpan SSPN Prime, those who have at least RM1,000 in their savings account can enjoy free takaful coverage.

5. Simpan SSPN Plus depositor with savings as low as RM30 per month can enjoy takaful coverage of up to RM60,000, in addition to death benefits, benefits for 45 different critical illnesses, and daily hospital allowance.

6. Simpan SSPN Plus users also have the option to choose from three takaful operators, such as Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad (HLMT), Great Eastern Takaful Bhd (GETB), and Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd (TIFB).

Besides that, PTPTN is also organising various webinars and live sessions to educate parents about the importance of saving and the benefits of Simpan SSPN.

The program will take place live with special appearances by artists, panelists, and influencers who are specially brought to enliven BMS 2021 and share about financial planning through saving.

Pertandingan Fotografi Simpan SSPN

– Contest period: 1 – 9 October
– Parents can register their kids to take part in this photography contest, where they’ll need upload creative photos of their kids. Upload a photo of your kid wearing their dream ambition outfit on social media
– The contest is split into two categories:
Category 1: Kids aged 6 to 8 years old
Category 2: Kids aged 9 to 12 years old

Cabaran #SuperheroSiManja

– Contest period: 1 – 23 October
– This challenge invites parents to share their experience, views, and tips on how they are their children’s superheroes by uploading photos or a one-minute video in the contest’s comments section with the hashtags #BulanMenabungSimpanSSPN2021 and #SuperheroSiManja

Pertandingan Slogan Kreatif BMS 2021

– Contest period: 2 – 10 October
– Come up with creative slogans with BMS 2021 theme and post it in the comments section during the BMS 2021’s live launch session on Facebook

Pertandingan Like, Share & Win BMS 2021

– Contest period: 2 – 25 October
– Participants will have to Like & Share the Official Facebook post: Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) regarding the Launching Ceremony of BMS 2021 to the participants’ valid Facebook account

Happy Hour

– Contest period: 2 – 23 October
– PTPTN will be organising sessions where they can interact together with their audience directly through PTPTN’s branch Facebook. Cool prizes will be given away to those who participate

Quizizz

– Contest period: 5 – 29 October
– Quizizz is an e-game session designed to test Malaysians’ general knowledge and minds
– There will be lots of cool prizes up for grabs

Chef Junior Simpan SSPN

– Contest period: 6 – 14 October
– Kids can take part in this contest under their parents’ supervision. Participants will have to record a video of themselves cooking a creative dish
– The contest is split into two categories:
Category 1: Kids aged 8 to 12 years old
Category 2: Kids aged 13 to 15 years old

Colouring Contest Simpan SSPN

– Contest period: 11 – 19 October
– This contest is organised for children in kindergarten and primary schools, to cultivate and educate them about the importance of saving. To participate, participants will have to colour an artwork, which can be downloaded, and then submit it for judging
– The contest is split into three categories:
Category 1: Kids aged 5 to 7 years old
Category 2: Kids aged 8 to 10 years old
Category 3: Kids aged 11 to 12 years old

Snap & Win Simpan SSPN

– Contest period: 15 – 23 October
– Parents can register their kids to take part in this contest, in which they will have to submit a video or a maximum of seven pictures of their kids
– There is only one category for this contest, where the child must be between 1 to 7 years old

Simpan SSPN Got Talent

– Contest period: 18 – 26 October
– Under the supervision of their parents, children can participate in this contest to showcase their talents
– Participants will have to record a three-minute video of themselves showing their talent
– The video can be in English or Malay
– The contest is split into two categories:
Category 1: Kids aged 6 to 8 years old
Category 2: Kids aged 9 to 12 years old
