The idea of meeting your future spouse at a cafe has been depicted in innumerable romantic films but for this Malaysian, it has become his reality.

Struck by his future wife’s beauty at a cafe in Poland, Muizzuddin Mahmud mustered the courage to walk up to her table and compliment her eyes.

He was on a solo backpacking trip across Europe when he met her by chance. Both sitting at separate tables across each other, the Malaysian thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to make his move. You know what they say, you miss all the shots you don’t take.

At first, she didn’t seem too impressed and she wasn’t aware of where Malaysia was until Muizzuddin mentioned KLCC. From there, the conversation flowed and you could say the rest was history at that cafe in Warsaw, Poland.

After almost a year of being in a long-distance relationship, dating mostly through video calls, the 31-year-old popped the question to his then-girlfriend Alesia Kuhto.

Despite their lucky meet-cute, their relationship did not come without a few hardships.

Alesia’s flights to Malaysia were cancelled multiple times due to the Covid-19 flight restrictions and Muizzuddin was adamant on introducing her to the family before they tied the knot.

In December 2020, she finally touched down on the land of KLCC where they swiftly got married.

The couple started turning heads after going viral on Tik Tok, mostly because of Alesia’s striking beauty. Many netizens compared her to the likes of Angelina Jolie due to her blue eyes but in my personal opinion, she looks a lot more like Florence Pugh. Nevertheless, netizens could not get enough of the attractive couple.

Raising Alesia’s daughter from a previous marriage, Muizzuddin is in marital bliss and he’s amused at how people have been reacting to their relationship on Tik Tok. At the time of writing, the couple have amassed over 19k followers on the platform.
