Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Pursues Career in Adult Entertainment

Yeap. The adopted daughter of legendary Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, Mikaela Spielberg (pictured above) is dipping her toes into the sticky waters of adult entertainment, which is a nicer way of saying she’s gonna do porn if we’re gonna be blunt.

In a statement made to The Sun, the 23-year-old explained her decision to become an adult film star:

“I got really tired of not being able to capitalise on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body,” she also clarified that “This isn’t like an ‘end of the road’ or ‘I’ve hit bottom’ choice. This is a positive, empowering choice.”

Additionally, she explained that another motivator to join the adult film industry besides being infatuated with it for so long is to be self-sustaining without the need to rely on her family’s wealth.

Using the stage name ‘Sugar Star’, Mikaela has produced her own videos on PornHub although they are temporarily offline while she waits for her state sex worker license to be approved. After which, she announced that she would only be doing solo work out of respect for her fiancé who commendably supports her career choice.

While it goes without saying that it should be a woman’s choice to do whatever she wants with her own body, this is a very touchy situation for a parent.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, a family friend of the Spielbergs told the publication:

“Outwardly, Steven and Kate — who are the most evolved parents in the world and love their kids beyond all measure — have always been supportive of Mikaela and try to understand her,” but followed up with “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”

However, Mikaela countered that notion by saying that they were more intrigued than upset at her decision to venture into adult entertainment and have always been supportive of their adopted child since way back when they took her in as a baby.

“My safety has always been a number one priority for them,” she stated. “I actually think that once they see how far I’ve come from the bottom I was at a year and a half ago, they’re going to look at this and go, ‘Wow, we actually raised are really self-assured, young lady.”

Growing up, Mikaela was sexually “groomed and abused by predators” who weren’t within her family’s circle of friends. This point in time was “the bottom” that Mikaela was referring to which makes it all the more understandable as to why a career with the job scope of sexually expressing herself consensually in a controlled environment could potentially help her cope with traumatic events from her past.

“We still have this idea of what women can and cannot be — that this is such a de-legitimized form of work even though it’s legal to be an adult actor and make and write erotica privately,” Mikaela said. “I feel like [by] doing this kind of work I’m able to ‘satisfy’ other people, but that feels good because it’s not in a way that makes me feel violated.”

As of now, Mikaela seems at peace with her career choice and the fact that her parents accept and acknowledge her decision is very commendable.
