You think it would take long for a rising star like Omar Apollo to make his way to Malaysia, but 2020 is about to get a shot in the arm, especially if you’re an R&B or bedroom pop lover!

Thanks to Upfront, the 22-year old Mexican-American singer-songwriter will be making his Malaysian debut on 29 February 2020 at Bentley Music Auditorium, Petaling Jaya.

If you haven’t heard of him, you def should as Omar’s music bends genres, bouncing somewhere between R&B, funk, alternative, and pop, melting into something you can’t help but dance to.

It’s not hard to tell that Omar is exactly who he is and he embraces his identity wholeheartedly. “My music is all my experiences in life. You know, traumas and love and all that good stuff,” he says of the vulnerability and raw emotions delivered through his lyrics.

Also, let’s not forget about that beautiful smooth-ass voice…

Expect a night filled with infectious anthems simultaneously fit for dancing at the club or crying in the bedroom… yes, it’s 2020, it’s totally fine to do that.
