Iconic British Brand Fred Perry Collaborates With Thames London
With summer around the corner, Brit label Fred Perry returns for a second collaboration with Thames London for a 13-piece collection fit for both women and men.
Thames founder Blondey McCoy treads the line between street style and functioning sportswear, as this collection features heavy knitwear pieces that include a school uniform-like V-neck jumper, tennis bomber, and a striped shirt in hues of burgundy, navy and pale blue.
“It’s a consequence of a kid in a candy shop, or a bull in a China shop, take your pick,” said McCoy. “The collection is inspired by the hum drum routines of British life and the uniforms that attire it,” he added.
The Fred Perry shirt and its iconic Laurel Wreath is reworked with the Thames logo, while the women’s pieces are (almost) fit for the court. The tennis pleated dress and white tennis skirt is perfectly complemented by the pale blue visor, but you can also forgo that for a more casual look.
McCoy shared: “I was bored of skating in T-shirts, so I started wearing Fred Perry shirts. I love the silhouette and how their clothes have been re-interpreted by so many different cultures and I always thought, ‘I’d love to see my logo on that.'”
There are limited edition Fred Perry X Thames tennis ball as a gift with purchase of items from the collection (while stocks last).
The Fred Perry X Thames SS2018 Collection is available exclusively at Fred Perry Authentic Shop, Pavilion KL.
