Petros Efstathiadis’ Bombs
The sensitivity that’s directed towards bombs is warranted, but photographer Petros Efstathiadis is challenging our conditioned minds that have been wrought with images and notions about crime and terrorism. He has assembled mundane, anodyne everyday objects into a deadly weapon; films and TV would have you convinced that these crafted pieces are indeed bombs despite appearances, but no, this is his way of turning the absurdity that was generated from the tension and panic resulted from the economic crisis in his home country of Greece.
