Future Music Festival Asia 2014 Lineup + Venue Announced!
With names like Wu-Tang Clan, deadmau5, Baauer, Rudimental, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Eric Prydz (to name a few) and a new venue to boot, Southeast Asia’s biggest music festival Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) – not giving music fans a chance to breathe after their A State of Trance 650: New Horizons reveal – has just announced a twofold asskickery. One, FMFA ’14 is set to take over the entirety of The Mines Wonderland, Mines Resort City throughout its 3 days of festivities, turning the resort-cum-theme park into a personal musical safari for punters. While the logistics for that sound like it’s going to cause someone a massive headache, we’re glad we don’t have to drive to Sepang for the umpteenth time again. Two, their first wave of lineup made our jaws dropped – in fact, we’re still dragging our jaws on the floor now as you read this. Why the hell are you reading this anyway? Watch the video above or scroll down below!
FMFA 2014 Opening Party featuring deadmau5 + Friends
Date Thursday 13 March ’14
The first day of FMFA ’14 marks the return of deadmau5 to Kuala Lumpur. Labelled as the opening party to the festival, the progressive house DJ-producer (and occasional internet troll) will be joined by his yet to be specified peers.
A State of Trance 650: New Horizons
Date Friday 14 March ’14
This year’s incredible turnout had a lasting impact on trance leader Armin van Buuren, enough that Kuala Lumpur made ASOT history by becoming the only city after Miami to soon host ASOT for 2 consecutive years.
Future Music Festival Asia 2014
Date Saturday 15 March ’14
Unlike the 2 days preceding it, the main event itself is a menagerie of genres as FMFA ’14 is the figurative zoo exhibiting these diverse international and local acts. Going anywhere from dance to rock to hip hop, the 3rd day features four massive stages adroitly separated by the performers’ musical taxonomy.
This year’s FMFA saw crowds of approximately over 55,000 punters. Next year Livescape Asia and Future Music Australia are expecting a turnout of over 75,000 people. Considering how much they’ve upped the ante, we think that’s a fair number. Fans are offered two choices; single-day passes for any one of the dates or a three-day weekend pass to all. To date, FMFA hasn’t revealed the acts by stages and days, however tickets are already available for purchase. See below for more information;
