Ze!’s Pal Jamain MC Heads to Malaysia
Perth has been the centre of all things wonderfully, magically musical over the past week, with the One Movement Festival drawing to an end on Sunday. The artists who performed include our local love Ze!, and during her performance she surprised and wowed the audience with a special appearance by Jamain MC. Ze!’s fellow artiste and friend, they had a great combined presence on stage an it really shone the spotlight on the two artists.
Jamain MC is a Perth bred wordsmith, who burst onto the LA scene back in 2008, and was an instant hit – performing at a multitude of clubs, events and festivals. Her debut single with Manhattanite DJ Loli ‘Little Messed Up’ rose to the top 20 of the Beatport Indie NuDisco charts. This year saw Jamain MC featured on the Ministry of Sound Vicious Cuts 2010 CD with ‘Do I Move Too Fast’. Due to be released in forthcoming weeks, her first solo single will take her through a 3 week through of Malaysia until the end of October.
Part of her Malaysian tour will also see her perform once again with Ze! so keep your eye on Jamain MC to find out how to catch this performance! Her solo single ‘Summerdays’ is a catchy pop melody accompanied with Jamain MC’s feisty, raw rhymes with vocals overlaid by another Perth local Olivia Reeves. Throughout her tour, Jamain MC will be doing interviews, gigs and festivals all in support of the release of ‘Summerdays’. With the tour kicking off this week, be sure to keep an eye out for this emerging MC!
Jamain MC is set to perform around Malaysia until the end of October, 2010. To catch the Perth MC, check out www.myspace.com/jamainmc for gig info.
