It seems like we’ve got a superstar in the making! Homegrown Zee Avi has made us all proud by getting a hot seat interview with CNN. The news channel had a lot of nice things to say about the Youtube sensation (who is currently under Jack Johnson’s label Brushfire) and has even compared her voice to Billie Holiday. Whoop Whoop!

The 23-year-old has just released her self-titled debut album. JUICE had a listen and liked it very much. In fact, according to CNN, the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California, was brimming with people ready to check out the latest singing sensation to hit all the way from Asia.

This interview where she talks about her inspiration, family and humility comes in perfect timing after a not-so-good review from famed music mag Rolling Stone described her sounds as “flat” and “wood-shedding material”. I guess what doesn’t break us, makes us!
