Promoted as our country’s largest art installation — simply dubbed The Star — this massive piece is a four-storey high light sculpture of a twelve-sided star that was created by architect-artist Jun Ong, which was constructed from 500 metres of steel cables and LED strips. The mammoth installation will be a part of the international art festival Urban Xchange (UX). Naturally, Ze Arcade Paint (ZAP) is holding a party in conjunction with the unveiling of The Star; in the evening there will be a bazaar by Syiok Wasabi, and when the night comes, there will be an interdisciplinary, interpretative performance entitled ‘Curiosity’. While you’re guzzling down some free booze, stick around for the DJ sets that will span from dancehall to house choons by way of German sound artiste Gediminas Žygus, and local DJs Josh Mosh and Synthication.
Date Saturday 7 November ’15
Venue Jalan Raja Uda
