Windows Live Messenger Turns 10!

From IRC to ICQ to Windows Live Messenger, we’ve used them all. It’s an evolution and the formerly known MSN Messenger seems to be the most-used and longest-lasting instant messaging program out there right now. Guess what? It’s 10 years old on 21 July 2009. *Press Enter*

The free instant messaging service gets over 10 billion messages everyday that is being sent on Windows Live Messenger. It still remains as one of the favourite ways for people to keep in touch, wherever they are. It’s just simply fun and doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how to use.

MSN Messnger 1.0 came into our lives in July 1999 (man, has it been that long?) and it was an instant hit with online freaks everywhere. From 2.5 million users to 4.5 million in 6 months! Now, Windows Live Messenger is available in 59 countries and 36 languages. These days, you can even send video messages! Hooray to technology.
