With Upfront‘s credible history of bringing amazing acts to the Bee — with the likes of Peace, The Vaccines, Grimes, and many more to their name — they have yet to fail in that regard, and by bringing Icelandic act Ólafur Arnalds to stage this month, that won’t change anytime soon. A multi-instrumentalist and composer, his concoction of different music genres, such as pop, electronica, and classical has lead to the development of his huge fan base, both domestically and internationally. While his recorded compositions are of the ambient electronic kind, Ólafur is known to give organic live performances featuring classic instruments such as the piano, violin, and cello. JUICE wager this would be the first Upfront gig with a moody tinge to it, so you Publika kids better behave during the show!
