There is something about modern Scandinavia and electronic-infused female singer-songwriters — Jenny Rossander aka Lydmor is just one of the many talents that fit that classification. Dubbing herself as silly-emotional electropop, her music is much like her genre-appropriate contemporaries; they straddle the line between low tempo heartaches and upbeat tunes. And despite being still relatively fresh in the scene, Lydmor has a list of collaborative efforts that’s even longer than most veteran acts — to name a few; Bon Homme, Arsenal, Amanda Palmer, and Bottled in England. Talent recognises talent, after all.
After a series of bands this year, Lydmor promises to add some much needed variety to Upfront. Kuala Lumpur’s current buzz act, Ali Aiman, supports as the night’s opening act.
