After a long while, Malaysia’s largest outdoor cinema returns in June! First held in 2003, Starlight Cinema has given film buffs and the casual audience a taste of the kind of film-viewing experience we aren’t as accustomed to — think the drive-in cinemas so indebted to Americana but on a larger scale and sans the cars. With surround sound system plus a 10-metre tall screen, spectators are not limited to just watching movies, Starlight Cinema will include all the necessities of an outdoor festival; flea market, food carts, and miscellaneous fun activities. Offering a double fright night, weekend triple comedy, and more, the event will culminate with Nolan’s Batman trilogy — an epic superhero series to bookend an epic cinema experience.
