Win a Pair of Passes to Laneway Festival Singapore ’17!
Laneway Festival Singapore is returning with another lineup of spectacular acts that runs through all sorts of genres. One of the pioneering riot grrls, Kathleen Hanna, will be arriving with her band The Julie Ruin along with punk bands White Lung and Luca Brasi. Then, the slew of indie bands lined up for the festival includes Whitney of The Windy City, Aussie bands Gang of Youths and Jagwar Ma, and Glass Animals. Producers seem to be the focal of interest of the festival as Floating Points, who’s renowned for his intensive DJ sets, will show festgoers a slice of what his former residency at the dearly departed Plastic People was like. Audiovisual artiste Tycho, Canadian electronic duo Bob Moses, revered hip hop producer Clams Casino, Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker), Brit beatmaker Tourist, and Hawaiian producer Mr Carmack are the other names who’ll join the long list of electronic musicians. Rappers Mick Jenkins and Japan’s KOHH, pop performers electropop artiste AURORA, rising r’n’b singer NAO and poet and singer Sampa The Great, and Japanese electronica group Wednesday Campanella complete the international roster. Regionally, representing Singapore are shoegaze band Astreal, sultry songstress Sam Rui, and rock band T-Rex. Lastly, indie electronic band Bottlesmokers and pop band Stars and Rabbit will bear the Indonesian pride.
