Wild Beasts run amok with ‘Albatross’
There’s an old saying that goes, “He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.” And while modern life sucks for many of us mere humans, we’re still thrilled to feature the new video for Wild Beasts’ forthcoming single, ‘Albatross’.

Filmed in London by the distinctive Dave Ma, the video is a beautiful, dreamlike sequence of images featuring the band along side a female dancer, capturing the high abstraction and intensity of the song. The video emits a sense of reflection about loss and an underlying hope of being free.
‘Albatross’ is available to download now with a digital bundle available from 2 May. It is the first track to be released from the Kendal quartet’s 3rd album, Smother (out on 9 May). The follow-up to the Mercury-nominated and critically acclaimed Two Dancers, you can pre-order a copy of Smother at www.dominorecordco.com/smother.
Wild Beasts will be performing at Splendour In The Grass in Australia from 29 to 31 July. Lookout for our May issue of JUICE where we break out our list of bands that are gonna be huge in 2011!
