WHY T-Shirt Design Competition!

Mohandas Gandhi said, ‘earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.’ “And because everyone always wants more, we take for granted what was given to us for free.” says WHY’s director, eT Wong. He’s so passionate about earth that he’s decided to host a national enviromental t-shirt design competition. The aim is to bring the young designers and creative art peeps together to help create this awareness by designing some rad designs for t-shirts. Duhh, t-shirt competition.

The theme is, ‘Many Species, One Earth, One Future,’ The competition is targeted at every human being who wants to be part of this great cause (we apologise in advance if you have a very talented cat that can paint —  can’t enter). There’s also no age limit, so if you have younger siblings that enjoy painting, they can participate as well! This design competition gives you the freedom to convey your own original ideas in whichever way you chose.

“It can be plain and simple but express a thousand words too.” says eT Wong.

The Environmental T-Shirt Design Competiton started on 5 March 2012 and submission ends on 25 May 2012. Worry not always-connected-to-the-internet readers! This competition is also tied to Facebook. All designs will be uploaded on to their Facebook page and the top 5 designs with the most likes will make it to the final stage for judging by eT Wong (WHY Director) Kenny Wong (founder of kennywork and director of brothersfree) Fakhrul Anour Abdullah (editor and senior comic artist) and Kenny Chua (creative director Gempakstarz and representative from Justlife)!
