Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2011 – The Grand Finale was held on 9 December 2011, at Zouk Club KL. A total of 6 finalists hit the decks to battle it out in the Grand Finale, besting each other.  Last year’s champion, DJ ET was also one of the finalists as he is defending his title to qualify for the Asia Pacific Final 2012. The panel of judges consisted of DJ Anowl, DJ Eugene, DJ Terence C, DJ Victor G, and Mr. Raymond Lee, the General Manager of Pioneer Malaysia. It was certainly a tough time coming to a unanimous decision to select the winner. Each contestant were given 20 minutes to showcase their talent. Deejay skills, showmanship, audience impact and the star factor were all taken into consideration.

And as it turned out, it was DJ ET who won this year’s competition, walking away with total prizes worth RM 22,000, comprising 2 units of Digital CD Deck CDJ- 2000, DJM-900 Nexus, RM 2,000 cash from Pioneer, Topman vouchers worth RM 800, a Toywatch Fluo Disco Watch and Gatsby products. As champion, DJ ET also gains automatic direct entry to the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asia Pacific Final 2012, a biennial international competition that brings together representatives from participating Asian countries. Digital DJ Battle organized by Pioneer is all about discovering new talents that are music-savvy accompanied by superb showmanship.
