What Went Down: lollipop pres. C.A.R. (Creative Automobile Redesign) @ Mist Club

After a whole month of intense modifying and judging, lollipop’s C.A.R. Creative Automobile Redesign competition drew to a close with 5 proud car owners walking away with a goody bag filled with cash vouchers and possibly a whole year’s supply of car engine oil. It hasn’t been a cruise of a journey (pun totally intended!).

For a whole solid month, the best of the modified car scene were pitted against one another in a battle of aesthetics and good looks — of their rides. Every Friday from 3 August to 24 August, this fleet of creatively redesigned cars were put through gruelling stages of judging and evaluation to decide which among them stood at the very top. There were three categories that hopeful car owners may stand a chance to win — Continental Car, Others and Babe’s Choice of Car. The cars will be judged based on their outer appearance designs, engine capacities, and performance versus cost optimisation.

During the Finals on the 24th, it was announced that Mr. Tan Kheng Tong was the winner of the Continental Car category, with Mr. Boi Liew coming in as 2nd runner up. As for the Others category Mr. Neo came out tops, followed closely by Mr. Joey as the first runner up and Mr. CK Yap as the second runner up. Cumulatively, they all walked away with some RM5000 worth of cash vouchers at various automobile garages and 7 bottles of Top One engine oil. That’s some Christmas-worthy prizes for any car enthusiast!

The rest of the night saw guests who had shown up to shown their support partying the night away in good spirits, complemented by even better drinks and music. No better way to rev up the weekend!
