What Went Down: Johnnie Walker Passion for Fashion 2012 @ Rootz KL

Passion for Fashion, Johnnie Walker’s glamourous celebration of all things stylish and gold, went all out recently with their yearly celebration held at Rootz KL. The invite list comprised of some of the biggest names of in the local fashion and film industry, from actors to hosts, models to designers, editors to bloggers, fashion enthusiasts, the hottest bloggers, must we really go on? The sophisticated night had a great mix of people, and it has been said that it is “the event for mingling and networking” if you’re an aspiring fashionista; and from the looks of it, they’ve got that right!

When you put music, fashion and of course, Johnnie Walker bottles all in one night, it’s bound to showcase entertainment at its best. Contributing to the entertainment for the night was an international line up of DJs that coalesced well with the vibe – from world renowned DJ Bento coming all the way from Japan to Smith Agent who flew in from the hills of Hollywood.

The height of the event were the awards presented to outstanding individuals who had used their influence in the fashion world to make a positive impact and give back to society. The categories consisted of Best Dressed Man & Woman, Best Photographer, Best Production House, Best Director, Model of the Year and the Johnny Walker Passion for Progress award.

Some people say that fashion is all about the glam, well that night, Johnnie Walker’s Passion for Fashion really went beyond its event namesake to proof the stereotype wrong. Now, where did that paparazzi go? We’re ready for our close up…
