The ladies had this to tell us the last time we interviewed them: “It has been said that we exist in our own universe. Fashion broke the Posso damn open for us and the water that rushed out was music. Beats and blues. Fashion is the outer peal of expression but music is the meat.” Deep. Dabbling in music, design, art and fashion, you couldn’t expect less from the fascinating duo who’ve played at festivals around the world.

The party-goers were also thrilled by the mixing skills of New York based DJ Mel DeBarge, who’s a regular entertainer with the ‘in’ crowd at exclusive premiers back in NYC and works like brands and names like Louis Vuitton, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, GQ, Calvin Klein, Nike, Jennifer Lopez, Missy Elliott, Heidi Klum, Kimora Lee Simmons, NBC, and Vogue.

It would have been a sin to not note, providing a much needed warm up set for the night, Singapore’s DJ Atran represented the Lion City and set the tone for the night before Posso and Mel took over. But it was but it was Grammy award winning violinist, The Mad Violinist, who stole the show with his high energy, impromptu performance with Posso. A surprise to everyone, The Mad Violinist’s depth and emotion cut through all the EDM sonics and hit us hard.

Other surprises were the stunning aerialist acts and fashion creations inspired by Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve (created by fashion designer Daniel Ngoo). With all the colours and sounds coming from every direction, the party was an assault on our senses in the most pleasant of ways (well, we’re still young, so it was pleasant to us).

As part of the Join the Pact campaign, Circuit Lounge guests who made their pledge to never drink and drive using the hashtag #imnotdriving received free rides home in SMRT Chryslers at the end of the evening. And one particularly lucky party-goer even got a personal ride back home by none other than Mika Hakkinen himself as reward for winning the Johnnie Walker’s Ultimate Chauffeur Service.

We can’t really recall how we got back to our hotel that night though there was no driving involved, it being Singapore and all. All we remembered was someone dudes from Hounds of Baskerville offering us haircuts at their salon. We couldn’t think of a better way to end a night of glitz and glam.

Johnnie Walker Circuit Lounge, Singapore happened on Saturday 21 September 2013. Stay tuned to JUICE for what went down at the Malaysian version of Johnnie Walker Circuit Lounge @ Butter Factory.
