Weezer Will Be Making a Grand Return to Singapore on October 11!
Previously performing with Panic! At the Disco in 2016, American alt-rock band Weezer will be returning to Singapore on October 11.
Fans can catch the likes of Rivers Cuomo and co at the Star Theatre!
The announcement comes with Weezer’s upcoming tour of Australia, with Singapore being the band’s only Asian stop after Melbourne and Brisbane. Supporting the band on this new tour are special guests Regurgitator.
Similar to their last show in Singapore, Weezer has not gone down under in six years, so this tour is truly a treat for fans living on this side of the world. Weezer will be bringing the same setlist from their recent Indie Rock Road Trip tour in the US.
For the uninitiated, Weezer made their debut in 1994 with what fans have dubbed The Blue Album. With a more than a handful of similar self-titled albums, Weezer have sold over 17 million records worldwide and won a Grammy award.
Those who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s will undoubtedly be familiar with the band’s signature songs like ‘Island In The Sun’, ‘Say It Ain’t So’, ‘Beverly Hills’ and ‘Pork and Beans’. The more Tiktok savvy among us will also be intimately familiar with ‘Buddy Holly’, which has since become a bona fide meme.
Regurgitator, will also be supporting the show with their own signature songs, which includes ‘! (The Song Formally Known As)’, ‘Black Bugs’ and ‘Polyester Girl’ along with ‘Everyday Formula’, ‘Kong Foo Sing’ and many more.
Weezer will be headlining Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on October 6 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 8, with the Singapore concert set to take place on October 11 at the Star Theatre.
